Origination:
Made for Toys of London as part of their unique Owl collection which featured several owls dressed in traditional country sporting outfits.
Condition:
Good Extremely well made with exquisite attention to detail. Box slightly marked due to storage and age.
Commentary:
This is one of the Owl collection from Toys of London who in the 1960s created a series of Owl soft toys mainly for the North American Market. Their owls depicted all sorts of professions and sports but included a range of country sports here we have the Squire(Shooting) Owl in original box.
We also have a Huntsman and Gardiner Owl on site.

There are owls who play cricket and golf, go skiing, butterfly collecting and there are even doctor and stock-broker owls among many others.
The detail which has gone into the Squire is amazing even down to what seems like a real miniature thumbstick, game bag, shotgun and traditional tweed cap.
This is a rare bird indeed and hard to find outside of the USA these days.
This is not a toy, it is a vintage collector's item for a hunting person who collects the unusual and appreciates a well made and detailed item.
I must just add that he does remind me of quite a few people I've met out hunting. You could be one of them.
