Commentary:
This is one of Lionel Edwards' classic hunting prints. It's rare to find this one and especially with its colours so vibrant and clear although a certain amount of fade has taken place as you would expect from a print of this age.
We are unsure of the actual scenario for the commissioning of this particular scene but would expect it was as a commissioned painting judging by the personal detail.
It has a touch of everything for the hunting person with a number of different scenarios illustrated, all set in the glorious and traditional English hunting country as it used to be and is a wonderful eye catcher and a conversation piece created by one of England's finest hunting artists and personally signed by him.
We are offering this mounted print unframed and glazed and would suggest it be re-framed in the traditional black frame to show it off in its former glory.
These sought after Lionel Edwards signed prints are fast disappearing from our lives and one such as this still retaining its quality of colour and its sporting detail is exceptional.
